Our Leadership

Stan Rockafellow

Pastor Emeritus

Pastor Stan loves the life God has given him. He and Donna have been married for 50 years and enjoy their five adult children and ten grand children. Together they enjoy cross-country motorcycling and outdoor activities include camping, hunting and fishing. Born in Flint Michigan in 1939, Stan was one of five children. Marrying his high school sweetheart Donna, he served 4 years in the US Navy. After a brief career in Real Estate, he knew that Jesus Christ, his Saviour and Lord was calling him into pastoral ministry. Having attended Eastern Michigan University, Stan received his pastoral training at Detroit Bible College and Midwestern Baptist College and Seminary. The first church he pastored was in Marlette Michigan, then under the Conservative Baptist Home Mission Society he established five new churches, the last being Eliot Baptist, where he has served for the past 25 years.

Joel Beers

Pastor to Adults

My short life's journey began just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I was raised in an incredible Christian home with 6 siblings. On a sports mission trip to the Bahamas as a senior in high school I accepted the Lord into my life as my Lord and Savior. I attended Northland Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin and graduated majoring in Bible and Youth Ministry. God allowed me to serve Him as a Youth Pastor for 2 years in Pennsylvania and 4 years in Florida before bringing me to Eliot, Maine. I am so thankful for the call of ministry on my life and the opportunity daily to show people God's love. My wife Heather and I have 3 children, Ben, Jordyn and Merima.

Yves Perodin

Pastor to Adults

God is Awesome! The story of my life is that God has called me and I am His servant. Whatever He wants me to do, I desire to follow after Him. My journey with Him started when I gave my life to Christ at 8 years old. When I was in junior high I made a decision to go to Bible College and that’s what I did after graduating high school. I started my studies at Word of Life Bible institute and finished my studies at Lancaster Bible College with a Degree in Bible and General Ministries. It is truly a joy to serve at Eliot Baptist Church! We are so blessed with a community of believers who love the Lord and love their neighbors.  My wife Deleena and I have 4 children; 1 spontaneous daughter and 3 very energetic boys!

Nathan Rockafellow

Youth Pastor

I've done a lot of far-out things, and I've got a lot of stories to tell, but my life isn't about all that; it's about knowing God and growing in Him! The rest of my story is just details…(graduate of Marshwood High School and Lancaster Bible College, music lover, cross-country traveler, backyard mechanic, Jeeper, motorcycle Iron Butt Association member, outdoorsman, Rocky fan, Trekkie, Youth Pastor, dog lover, husband and father of two!).  I've dedicated my life to serving the Lord and my greatest joy is time spent with my family, my wife Suzanne, daughter Abi and my sons Ethan and Kole who we welcomed to the family at my daughters wedding in the fall of 2022!  "There'll be no stoppin, there'll be no quittin, long as God gives me breath and these beats keep on hittin"!

Jon Priddy

Assistant Youth Pastor

Through my life, determining the Lord’s will has been an exercise in obedience. When I was in High school, all I ever wanted to be was a pilot. When I graduated, I heard God calling me to go to Bible College for a time. While in Bible College, I studied with the intention of entering youth ministry, working with teenagers, and here I am the Assistant Youth Pastor. I am so thankful for the direction God has given me through my short-sightedness, everything from where I am to the woman I married.  I have served here at Eliot Baptist since 2003 and have been on staff since 2010. I married my wife in 2013, and am growing to love her more and more. My time at Eliot has been so wonderful, and I hope to remain here through retirement. I love my church, and have loved it for a long time.

Cody Becker

Assistant  Pastor

As an Eliot native, I first came to Eliot Baptist Church as an attender in 2006 during my sophomore year of high school.  I've been incredibly blessed to call EBC my home since then.  So much of my story has to do with the loving and faithful people in this community of believers which God has placed in my life.  In my youth, my hunger to pursue God's journey for my life grew and led me to Lancaster Bible college in 2010.  In 2014 I graduated with a degree in Bible and youth ministry.  In 2016 I married my wife, Anna, and was hired at EBC as a Ministry Assistant and in 2021 was hired as an Assistant Pastor.  My wife, Anna and I currently have one child, our son Landon who was born in December 2021

Rebecca Rubeor

Director of Women's Ministry

I was raised in a Jewish home bud didn't know God until after I was married and had kids.  I am forever indebted to the coworker who kept asking me to go to church with him and his wife.  In Nazareth, Pennsylvania, on September 7, 1998, I participated in my first communion, accepted Christ's death as payment for my sins, and committed that I would follow Him all of my days.  What a blessing it has been!  What a rollercoaster ride too!

He is changing me from the inside out.  I have known His love, His grace, His healing, His patience, His discipline, His faithfulness.  He is a God worthy of praise and worship.  We are grateful to be a part of a church who loves God, loves each other, and loves the community around them.

My heart for women is to equip them in the personal study of the Word to grow in their knowledge of God, experience the blessing of good fellowship, and empower them to use their gifts as God directs them.

Bernie and I have one son who lives in North Carolina and a son and daughter-in-law who live in Wisconsin.

Kay Rockafellow

Director of Children's Ministry

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”  Jeremiah 29:11 When I was a child, I believed this promise to mean there would be a gold paved road leading to a future filled with all I could hope for. “Oh Happy Days!” After all, I was a child of the King, surrounded by loving Christian parents, what could possibly go wrong? As an adult, these many years later I can confidently say this promise is True. I have yet to see the golden road, and not every day has been what I had hoped for, but His plan, for my good, has given me hope secure. That is far grander than I could possibly imagine. How He has taken all my choices and used them to prepare me as Children’s Director here at EBC leaves me in awe and praising Him. I am a mother of 3.  Our family has grown with their 3 wonderful spouses and 5 beautiful grandchildren. I raised my family in Michigan and until Aug 2016 that was home for me. I am no stranger to New England however, I grew up in New Hampshire and Eliot has been home for my parents and siblings for 40 years. I am so blessed to have a part in planting deeply Gods precious promises into the hearts and minds of the little ones of EBC. To watch them grow in their confidence of Him is surely our future and hope.
